Contiki is such a great tour company all around. I travelled with them right out of high school twice and are the reason I’m selling travel today. Having recently finished University & wanting to see Europe as fast and as cheap as possible, I found myself looking into options for package tours that were going to offer the best experience possible, at a reasonable price & with the less stress necessary. Having done a Contiki trip in Vietnam before, it was my first port of call. After weighing up my options I booked the European Whirl tour- a high energy, fast paced tour that hit all the key areas at an affordable price in an amazing period of 18 days. Being a budget traveller I knew that this tour would met my expectations but it did even more than that, the experience I had was unreal. I visited 8 countries in total, experienced extremely different cultures and traditions through the various shows and attractions included in the tour, pushed myself to meet new people & was able to make some of the most incredible friends along the way. All whilst having no stress as all I needed to do was jump on the bus and join my (more often than not) hungover friends as we ventured through to the next destination and did it all again. Take my advice, if you're looking for a trip that provides you with an opportunity to visit an array of countries all whilst making insane friends & memories and being stress free then this is the trip for YOU. No stress, no worries, no regrets- Contiki is the perfect adult playground on a reasonable budget.
I recently went on the LA to the Bay West Coast USA tour where I got to witness the sparkling lights of Vegas, see the Grand Canyon, and swim in the picturesque Bass Lake on an evening cruise. Whether you’re there to party or take in as much of the West Coast as possible, travelling alone or in a group, on a budget or not, this trip and Contiki could not be recommended enough.
This tour was incredible and neither words nor photos could capture the true mesmerised enjoyment that I experienced throughout my trip, or the friendships I made. LA to the Bay won’t be my last Contiki, and I know that because I have two booked for January. If that’s not a sign that this is the company you should book with, then I don’t know what is.
I've just been on the Mexico Grande Contiki and had the best time! Contiki make travelling easier, especially helpful in Latin America when you don't speak Spanish! Our tour guide was fantastic, so knowledgable and interesting and knew all the best local places to go for food and drinks. The people make the whole trip and it's such a good way to travel solo as you meet so many similar people! Mexico is one of the most incredible countries I've visited, and I definitely want to go back! I would 100% recommend travelling with Contiki! Missing my Contiki fam a lot!
The vietnam experience was the best trip ive done. Contiki really came to the part to make this trip unforgettable. I have no hesitation recommending this trip to others. I look forward to many more futre trips with contiki. #noregrets
This past summer I went on the Peru Uncovered Contiki tour! Hands down the most fun I have ever had! It was two weeks jam packed of adventure. It was so easy, there was no stress about getting from point A to point B, you just had to wake up and explore. I made so many amazing friends and saw incredible things. Definitely the best way to see Peru!
I travelled to Thailand, Laos and Cambodia with Contiki when I was 34 then Vietnam when I was 35. I can honestly say its party/crazy reputation is unfounded. Yes, it's massively sociable and yes you will go out at night (if you choose to) but it is by no means a crazy club 18-30 type vibe. There are so many early starts that you absolutely have to be on time for that you cannot go overboard with the partying! Moreover, if there are any big nights out planned you are certainly not obliged to go. I'd say though that one of the best parts of the trip is spending time with fellow travellers so it's worth taking advantage of every opportunity on the trip to make friends. And who doesn't hate a case of FOMO??
I'd highly recommend Contiki for travellers in their 30's and I was gutted when I aged out!

I traveled with Contiki through Asia and it was my first « alone backpack » trip. This compagny made my trip ao much nicer and safer! Everything is organized for you, you don’t have to be worried about your flights/bus/hotel cause someone from their company is payed to stress over these things for you! You also meet so many great souls and amazing people! Would do it again and would recommend it for anyone in any circumstance. Loved it and if you have the chance to travel with them take it. Contiki is by far the best travel company 💕
I have been onto two coniki tours, South America and Vietnam! In both tours everything was taken care for you - travel, accommodation, food, site seeing, night life. Only thing you need to take care is your flight, travel money, VISAs, vaccinations and hotel transfer. Our tour guides were so knowledgable and made all efforts to make sure you have the time of your life. There was lots of activities to do during the day and at night time great places and atmosphere to party with your fellow contiki buddies. I would definitely recommend Contiki to travel with 👍
I booked the U.S Grand Southern with Contiki and I can honestly say this was the best experience of my life. Our tour guide was absolutely amazing and knew all the best places to see/ eat. The tour was so easy, and everything from meals to accommodation and activities were organised for us. Highly recommend Contiki.

I done the Darwin to Sydney trip in Australia, the booking was incredibly easy and they talked me though everything so there was no stress. Once in the tour I was able to just let Loose and have the time of my life as well as making some friends for life , well recommend contiki, very professional

I went on the European Inspiration Winter - bad accommodation, our tour guide was very careless and left in the middle of nowhere when drunk! Also too much free time. I personally don’t recommend Contiki!!
Contiki offer very well put together planned tours for those who want to have a trip of a lifetime without too much planning. You get an amazing guided tour and will meet lots of new people.
Over the last 2 years I’ve done 4 different contiki trips throughout Europe (all very different) and I haven’t been able to seriously fault them. The trip managers, drivers and the crew on board the ships have always been so outstanding and helpful. I always recommend my friends contiki, I can’t see myself using another company anytime soon.
I’ve never travelled by myself before and I was so nervous going into a big tour by myself but from day 1 you meet the greatest people who are all in the same situation as you. I did the Great Southern US trip and it’s the best and most affordable way to see so much over a decent amount of time. Didn’t want it to end. Our tour guy was amazing and so informative and helpful and you didn’t have to worry about a thing! Hardest part was saying goodbye to everyone at the end. BOOK WITH CONTIKI! Highly recommend
I went on the spotlight on Greece and Greek island hopper. It was the best way to see the country. You don’t have to arrange anything and there were places I wouldnt have even thought of going. Having the history behind the sights your seeing explained by a tour guide or contiki manager gives you more appreciation and understanding than if I tried to do a trip like this by myself. My contiki manager Sophie was the absolute best! The only downside is there are a lot of add on costs.
Best thing I have done. I actually backpacked Europe in my early 20s but always wanted to do a contiki, it’s a bit of a “great Australian dream”.

My Friend and I were on the 12 day Greek island hopper tour in Greece. It was my first Contiki, my friends secound we shared a room with one other. Made lots of amazing new friends, all family by the end of the tour. Night life was awesome and our tour guide Megan was so inspiring. So much learnt during travels betweem each iconic spot, add ons were awesome so many fun activities. Many thanks to all the organising that goes into these tours.

I did my first and second Contiki tours on my Europe trip (Eastern Road and Siestas and Fiestas). I had the best time in my life and made so many friends along the way. I got to visit so many cities in one trip and honestly that was the perfect way to see Europe in a short glance. I definitely recommend Contiki!

This was my first trip with Contiki and I did it solo! It was so well organized and I met the most incredible people, friends I will have for life! Would definitely do another one, and our trip manager was the best!
I booked the Italian Espresso trip with Contiki which was a graduation trip for a friend and me. Initially we were just not sure what to expect but by the time our trip date was close there was a feeling of excitement which creeped into us. We met the Contiki crew on their website and we were all set to meet them in person. When we got to Rome we met our Contiki family and also the best tour guide. He was a very positive and happy person and allowed us time for ourselves to shop around the streets , explore the local food and wine. The 10 days were beautiful. Each day was different and exciting ❤️
I did the European Quest in summer 2017 and had the absolute time of my life! Its relatively cheap for what you get (I saw 25 cities in 4 weeks, for £1900!)
I was older than most people on my trip, being 23 when I went. It was still good as I felt like I got the best of both - I was there for the sightseeing which we did during the day & everyone went clubbing at night.
I felt like you get a genuine feel for the cities you visit, with that touristy stuff filled in too.
I also suffer with anxiety so thought travelling alone would almost kill me, but everyone was so nice and welcoming!
Just go for it. Do it. Book it. You'll love it.

I went on the Thailand Island Hopper tour in Phuket. I will start by saying that I went into my trip a little hesitant. I wasn’t sure how I felt about going on a group tour with a bunch of people I didn’t know. Was I going to be stuck with them the entire time if they turned out to be awful? Was I going to be stuck doing things I didn’t care for? I really just didn’t know what to expect.
The day the trip started we had our first meet up. It was to discuss the trip, optional activities, and to get familiar with the group. When choosing my activities I was torn on what to do. Do I do all of them? Is it too much? Am I going to wear myself out? Well I signed up for basically all of them. (Minus a cooking class cause the last thing I wanted to do on vacation was cook) And let me tell you I was SO glad I did all of them.
My group included about 30 people. Our tour manager was awesome. The people were awesome. We all had the most amazing time. All 30 of us became instant friends. Even on our “free days” our tour manager had some stuff he planned to do which we were all welcomed to do as well if we wanted. We usually did them and for the most part stuck together. Every single aspect of this trip was amazing. I still speak to most of the people from that trip. I have even been lucky enough to meet up with them on different travels.
If you are thinking about doing a Contiki trip STOP THINKING ABOUT IT. DO IT!! You absolutely will mot regret it. There is only one regret I have from this experience. And that’s the fact that I didn’t do it sooner. Because this year I aged out and now I’m too old now :( So next I’m trying Topdeck since I it’s supposed to be very similar and they don’t quite think I’m old yet. Phew!
I was travelling by myself in June of 2018. My tour was the European Highlights. I loved each city, met incredible people, almost didn't stop one minute to enjoy my days in Europe as much as I could. I found a lot of fun in that trip. For sure I would travel with Contiki again. Missing my Contiki fam already!

I went on Contiki's Western Rocker a couple of summers ago, and had the best time! A great and knowledgeable tour company that really takes care of you!
My mum forced me to go on holiday alone in the summer of 2015 so I found a Contiki and booked a two week trip to Greece (Island Hopping) and it was a lot of fun! Stayed in some nice hotels and had some amazing food- partied every night! Most people were in their late teens or early twenties so they had more energy than me. Had two great tour leaders who were just as fun and really helpful! I ended up getting sick for a whole week so missed out on a bit but the days I could enjoy I did! I went in August to Greece- try and go any other timenof the year unless you want to be burned to death! Super hot in Greece.
It costs a bit- and then when you’re they they charge you extra for excursions or extra special Greek meals etc so I’d add another 1000 to whatever the invoice cost is..
I’d def recommend it meet new people and have experiences you won’t forget!
I truly enjoyed my Contiki experience. It was my first time traveling alone with 50 different strangers and I thought omg what am I doing but it was one of the best decisions I made. I got to explore 7 countries in 9 days and make friends from all around that world that I still stay in contact with and even travel with years later. If your looking for a crazy adventure to bring outside of your shell and discover different places and cultures then Contiki is the way to go. No regrets! Just live and enjoy life!
