Our programs connect participants with local families, farmers, associations, organizations, conservation initiatives, and other community partners working on meaningful, ongoing projects. Through hands-on experiences and cultural immersion, participants have the opportunity to learn from local communities while contributing their time, skills, and perspectives.
We offer a range of customized experiences, from short-term programs for students, families, and groups to immersive internships lasting several weeks or longer.
Our goal is to foster cross-cultural understanding, support meaningful local initiatives, encourage personal and professional growth, and create positive impact for both participants and the communities they learn from. Across our programs, we aim to support the preservation of cultural knowledge, environmental conservation, sustainable livelihoods, and locally led solutions.

After being accepted into one of our internships, participants are matched with a local host family, accommodation, and one or more community or organizational partners depending on the program. Customized Programs
In addition to internships, Beyond Travels creates customized short-term programs for high school and university students, faculty-led groups, families, and other travelers seeking a more immersive learning experience.
Programs can be designed around themes such as Indigenous cultures and knowledge, conservation, sustainable agriculture, food systems, traditional medicine, public health, social entrepreneurship, and environmental education.
Whether through a short-term group program, family experience, gap-year opportunity, or customized educational journey, we work with local partners to create meaningful experiences that connect people with communities, cultures, and places in a deeper way.
