Staff

Our success has been due to a team of dedicated staff who have made the school what it is today. The current staff body are characterised by their commitment, excellence and dedication to an exceptionally unique student body.

Currently there are 200 full time expatriate teachers, 16 Thai language teachers and 41 Thai degree qualified teaching assistants mainly supporting the Primary School classrooms. The majority of teaching staff are UK nationals and most have had prior experience in other international schools.

Primary – Teaching Posts:
An outstanding and experienced teacher is required to join the Early Years Foundation Stage. Candidates should have a genuine commitment to a child-centered play based curriculum and putting children first. The ability to work collaboratively and have a solution based approach to solving problems is essential.

Primary – Key Stage 1
An outstanding, passionate and experienced teacher is required to join our dynamic Key Stage 1 team. Candidates should have a genuine commitment to personalised learning, be proficient in using effective formative assessment strategies and be able to deliver a thematic curriculum. Primary – Learning Support
We are seeking a dedicated, motivated and passionate Learning Support Teacher to join our Primary team. The role will focus upon the provision of supplementary teaching to pupils who require additional support in their learning. Our Learning Support Teacher will work with pupils in groups or one-to-one, either in the classroom or in a learning support environment. The role involves planning and implementing effective teaching strategies, liaising with parents, staff and other relevant professionals. Primary – Music Teacher
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Primary Music teacher, who can inspire children aged from 3 to 11 years and develop musical potential. Primary – Head of Music
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspiring and dedicated teacher of Music to lead and promote this key department within the Primary School. Our Music faculty is highly successful and we are seeking to appoint a qualified professional who is both passionate and knowledgeable and shares our values to lead our Primary Music team. The Head of Music is responsible for leading and overseeing all musical activities throughout the Primary School and the responsibility includes our peripatetic teachers.

Primary – PE
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic PE teacher who can inspire children aged from 3 to 11 years, and develop their athletic potential. The successful candidate will be well-qualified and would be required to teach PE across the Primary School. Drive, passion, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential prerequisites for a successful application.

Primary – Key Stage 1 Leader
We are looking for an outstanding Key Stage 1 teacher with leadership experience to become our Key Stage 1 Leader. The successful candidate will be become a key member of the Primary Leadership Team, responsible for the welfare, progress, development and achievement of all children in Key Stage 1. S/he will lead and manage a team of Year Leaders, Teaching Assistants and Class Teachers.

Primary – EAL
We are seeking an outstanding Teacher of Primary EAL. The successful candidate will have experience of teaching English as an Additional Language to a diverse range of language ability students, preferably in an international setting. Candidates should have a genuine commitment to working in a progressive and forward-thinking environment. Primary – French (Part Time)

Primary – Mandarin (Part Time)

Secondary – Head of Music
Music is a popular subject at Bangkok Prep and an outstanding teacher is required to teach and lead both curricular and extra-curricular Music on the Secondary Campus. Performances are an essential element to our curriculum and the ideal candidate would enthusiastically lead and support as necessary. The department is home to impressive facilities including a music technology suite. The ability to work collaboratively in a large and vibrant Creative Arts Faculty is essential.

Whole School – Director of Sport
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Director of Sport to lead and coordinate extra-curricular sport across both the Primary and Secondary Campuses. The department is home to some of the most impressive facilities in Bangkok including a 50m swimming pool, gymnastics hall, FIFA-sized football pitch, and a state-of-the-art basketball court with sprung flooring.

Secondary – Head of PE
Due to continued growth, an outstanding teacher of PE to lead and manage a growing faculty. The ideal applicant should have an interest in developing the PE curriculum and examinations within a progressive and forward-thinking school. The ability to work collaboratively with other faculties and the Director of Sport is essential. The ability to be work collaboratively and have a solutions based approach are essential prerequisites for a successful application.

Secondary – Spanish (Part Time)

The ability to teach another subject would be beneficial.

Secondary – English

Secondary – Design Technology (with Art)

The ability to work collaboratively in a large and vibrant Creative Arts Faculty is essential. The candidate should also be prepared to teach Art and Design at Key Stage 3.

Secondary – English and Drama
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an outstanding Teacher of English and Drama to teach across the Secondary School. Candidates should have a genuine commitment to working in a progressive and forward-thinking environment. The ability to work collaboratively and contribute to the extra-curricular life of the Drama department is essential.

Secondary – Faculty Leader – Humanities
An outstanding Humanities teacher is required to lead and manage a growing faculty. The ideal applicant would have an interest in developing all subjects under the umbrella of Humanities and be able to teach an advertised subject. This post has an additional allowance of PoR 5.

Secondary – Counsellor
An outstanding Counsellor is required to work primarily at our Secondary Campus. Candidates should have a genuine commitment to working in a progressive and forward-thinking environment student and staff well-being. The ability to work collaboratively in a large and vibrant pastoral system is essential, as is an up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding procedures. The candidate may be required to take on a small teaching load. 

Secondary – Business Studies
An outstanding Teacher of Business Studies is required to teach at IGCSE and A Level. Candidates should have a genuine commitment to working in a progressive and forward-thinking environment. The ability to work collaboratively in a large and vibrant Humanities Faculty is essential. The ability to teach a second subject would be an advantage. 

Secondary – Faculty Leader – Science
An outstanding Science teacher is required to lead and manage a growing faculty. The ideal applicant would have an interest in developing practice in Science, and, preferably, be able to teach an advertised role. This post has an additional allowance of PoR 5.

Secondary – Drama
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an outstanding teacher of Drama to teach across the full Secondary age range. Productions are an essential element to our curriculum and the ideal candidate would enthusiastically lead and support as necessary. The ability to work collaboratively in a large and vibrant Creative Arts Faculty is essential.

Secondary – Faculty Leader – World Languages
An outstanding teacher of a World Language is required to lead and manage a faculty with growing numbers. The ideal applicant would be an outstanding teacher and have a passion to develop languages in an international school. An ability to teach French and/or Spanish to A Level would be an advantage. This post has an additional allowance of PoR 5.
