Our Programs

CENIT has a variety of programs with both children and their families. We have educational programs, productive workshops, psychological and medical services, and many more. The goal of our programs is to provide comprehensive, long-term service to both the children and their families.

Volunteering Jobs

Volunteer opportunities are varied, there are tasks for all interests and your involvement in our work will be a rewarding and unforgettable experience. If you believe that you are well suited to one of our positions, please do not hesitate to apply.  Also, if you have an interest or specialty related to CENIT’s work, but do not see it listed as an opportunity, just let us know!  We are always open to new volunteer projects!

Internships

CENIT employs professionals in the areas of medicine, psychology, social work, education, and administration, and we are always happy to take on interns from all backgrounds. For many years we have worked with interns in education, social work, and psychology. More recently we have also worked with interns in NGO and organizational leadership positions.

Interning with CENIT is an opportunity to gain a great deal of experience in working in a Latin American Non-Profit. Our internship positions demand a higher level of responsibility than our volunteer positions, making them more rewarding both personally and professionally. Internships with CENIT generally require a 6 month-1 year time commitment. Many people also do formal internships through a University for credit. If you have something else in mind that is not listed as an option and that fits with our project, please contact us to formalize a position.

Our funds are limited at the moment, and as such we cannot offer any payment or housing for our interns.  However, we offer a number of services to help make your stay with us more affordable, including assistance with finding affordable accomodations, and relationships with English schools where you may be able to earn some money teaching part time.
