Volunteering & Internships

Volunteers & Interns have played a vital role in making Belize Botanic Gardens such a unique and inspiring place to visit. We value and deeply appreciate those who volunteer and consider them to be important ambassadors in promoting our reputation abroad.

Tasked with a wide range of activities, volunteers help out with the latest Garden projects as well as ongoing Garden maintenance, or can choose to work a specific area of the Garden area that interests them. We can often use volunteer help to assist with school visits and organizing exhibitions for public occasions.

Students from Universities outside of Belize can use their time at Belize Botanic Gardens to do research and write papers on anything related to nature or community service, or both. We can help Interns map out their programs.

Becoming a volunteer or intern at Belize Botanic Gardens is a great way to visit Belize and broaden your horizons, while helping out and getting to know, learn and interact with our staff and the local community..
