Art Course in Stunning Romania

Join an intensive week-long art course in the beautiful medieval city of Brasov, Transylvania. Work with an international artist to improve your technique and learn new skills. Create new pieces of work in a bright and inspiring studio, or out in the Transylvanian nature.

Get creative in the medieval city of Brasov on an intensive introduction course into botanical painting and drawing. The course is aimed specifically at beginners and intermediates, offering the opportunity to experience stunning Transylvania in a creative way. This course takes place in an airy creative studio in the historical centre of Brasov, surrounded by cobbled town streets and the sloping foothills of the Carpathian Mountains.

You will be in Romania for one week, with intensive art activity of 6 hours per day for 4 days. The main programme is meant for indoor work, but outdoor painting can also be done, weather permitting. All materials and first class instruction are included on the course.

What will I be doing?

The course will cover a variety of subjects, each pitched to your individual level:

• How to improve your drawing technique
• Learning about how to take a painting from a sketch to the finished article
• An introduction to botanical painting
• An introduction to the theory of composition and colours
• Different types of painting, from naturalistic to abstract
• 24 hours of training over 4 days
• 2 days of exploring the area and getting to know Brasov
• In your free time, enjoy a half day trip to the legendary Dracula’s Castle

You will stay in a comfortable hotel in central Brasov, with breakfast and wifi included.
