How You Can Help

These areas all need assistance:

Community Development
Some organisations work to help people from disadvantaged backgrounds providing help and relief on the ground through outreach projects.

Educational & teaching
If local people learn English they can boost their careers and get jobs in the tourism industry. There is a need for international teachers to train local people. Some organisations also hire volunteer teachers to work at schools and community projects with children.

How about learning to scuba dive and helping marine conservation efforts?

There are local animal shelters and turtle conservation projects which desprately need help all year round.

To volunteer in Indonesia and Bali, usually you will need to:

  • Be aged 16+
  • Be eligible for a tourist visa
  • Be in good health
  • Have a desire to learn and do good

Some projects are totally free whilst some you might need to pay a fee to participate which generally includes accommodation and meals.
