POD Volunteer Reviews

Monkey Rescue Center South Africa

We were well taken care of, POD gave us a lot of information and advice before the trip, they also contacted us during the trip and after to see if everything went well. The International Primate Rescue Center was great and the experience was amazing. Thank you POD for this opportunity.

Indian Adventure *5 STAR +*

“All absolutely fantastic, very organised and always felt I had the help there if I needed it. POD couldn’t do enough for you. I cannot thank Ravi and Gaurav enough for their hospitality & making my trip to India an unforgettable experience – The work that this pair do and the passion they have for every aspect of it is incredible. Two absolutely amazing humble men with huge hearts and so much compassion.

The people of India have taught me a great deal about humanity, integrity and gratitude. Some of these people have next to nothing and would still give their last to help someone in need. It’s been an enduring, character building, rewarding and challenging trip - Immense, emotional rollercoaster. India will always hold a place deep within my heart. I will miss every part of this diverse beautiful and unique culture but I know I’ll be back.”

Amazing experience in South Africa

I volunteered when I was 18 and it was one of the most beautiful things I ever did. Travelling by yourself is always rewarding and PoD makes sure everything works fine for you. There are many options if you want to live the african safari experience, but trust me when I tell you this is a five star experience!

Great Experience

Best and most rewarding experience of my life. I went to Nepal with Pod Volunteer for a month, I worked in the nursery’s and the youth hostels with young children. It was hard work but the most rewarding work, I met friends for life whilst volunteering also. The family we stayed with were so kind and helpful.

Best 2 weeks of my life in Thailand

I had the most incredible two weeks of my entire life volunteering at WFFT working with the elephants every day. The people who helped me at PoD were incredible and I had every piece of information I could ever of needed. I would recommend volunteering to anyone!

POD Volunteer Marine Conservation South Africa

My time at the marine conservation program in South Africa was truly unforgettable. The hosts, Emilia and Arno were as knowledgeable as they were passionate which was incredibly inspiring. They fostered a great environment that enabled a balance between education and fun, both of which worked in each other's favour. The diving was among the best diving I have ever experienced and it was a pleasure to emmerse myself both figuratively and literally.

Worth every penny

I booked through POD after doing some research into the different projects I wanted to experience and I wasn’t disappointed! The team I dealt with were really helpful and shared tips and guidance along the way. I didn’t have much dealings with them while I was in South Africa however that’s more because I immersed myself in the trip and didn’t really need their assistance!

I went to South Africa for 6 weeks and my only regret was not going for longer! I did the Kruger project for a month and then the Cheetah project in the Free State and loved both- amazing causes and the best experience of my life. Would definitely recommend and I wouldn’t hesitate to use POD in the future!

London girl goes travelling

Travelling was a distant dream for me and as much as I wanted to go and explore on my own I decided to take my best friend with me, my Mum. Yes I have many friends my own age and I am a girl about town, London Town, but taking my mum was the best decision I made. We found it so easy to get lost into the Nepalese culture and to fall in love it. We Volunteered in a local primary school which we were both apprehensive about but on our first day we learnt so much and more about each other. My mum discovered what a caring and patient teacher I was (as this is what I do in London) and when seeing my mum teach, I remembered instantly how creative, fun and passionate she is when it comes to learning and what an amazing Mum she has always been.
It’s easy to say how a volunteering experience has changed your life but take someone you love and see how it changes your life for the better and enriches relationships beyond belief. #mummydaughtergoals

Diving in paradise

Marine Conservation at Koh Tao was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! I've been there for 4 weeks and helped to restore the reef around the island. Everyday we had about one or two dives and some lessons about very interesting issues, like the animals of the ocean. POD Volunteer supported my a lot, even months before the beginning of my project I got a lot of information material from them and therefore I could prepare myself easily. They responded every question very fast and friendly! I really would enjoy to join another project of them soon :)

Thailand Children's Home

My experience with POD was over all a good one! The Thailand Children's Home was well outside my comfort zone and showed me the world outside of the USA. Got to spend lots of time with the kids and go out and do fun little excursions as a big family. The arrangements were pretty straight forward and were easy to understand. It was very rewarding and I'm super thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the Children's Home.

Very Responsive

I booked with Pod Volunteer because they had many goos reviews on so many different websites. I love how they answered all the questions i had, with the time difference, it was really good to see a response on the next day. This is what makes an organization one you can trust. I highly recommend POD VOLUNTEER to other volunteers out there looking for a Volunteer placement. The info about the volunteering position was exaggerated i think, but i guess it is better volunteers are prepared. Id definitely sign up again if I get the opportunity to volunteer again. :)

POD Volunteer Belize

POD was the most amazing time of my life, I know sounds super corny but it was. It was my first time travelling alone and I was 18. I went to Belize and not one sweat was dropped from nervousness. POD helped me every step of the way, including when I was there. They answer your questions within days if not hours. Not only was the POD organization team great but the experience itself was amazing. I went to Belize zoo for 3 weeks. Everyone was super friendly and made me feel right at home, I never felt uncertain or uncomfortable in any way. The animals were amazing and you get to come close and in contact with tons of species. I can't wait to go back again, and try some different places to volunteer. It's a rewarding experience and I would recommend it to anyone.
