Design & deliver a hands-on, personalised Internship in Education & English Teaching to gain real-world experience while making a real difference to rural communities in the majestic Ecuadorian Andes.

Benefits

Design and deliver a unique internship based on your career aspirations and local needs, supported by an experienced international team.

Advance your career, develop your skills, and improve your résumé through a hands-on project with 1:1 mentoring from a professional in the field.

Make a meaningful difference to low-income populations who lack the education, support, and resources to make the changes themselves.

Immerse yourself in another culture and experience a different way of life through family homestays, cultural activities, and life in a small rural community.

Set off on adventures and make lifetime memories with other interns and volunteers – climb mountains, hike through the jungle, and explore indigenous communities.

The Challenge

The indigenous communities surrounding Atandahua have few opportunities and resources. Children study in dilapidated schools and receive very basic education with minimal creative expression or cultural reinforcement. This affects their personal and cultural identity and many do not see a future beyond the poverty they see around them.

The Solution

Art has the power to bring communities together, build confidence and transferrable skills, and transform communal spaces into vibrant hubs with powerful symbology that can change how people feel about themselves.

We're looking for passionate interns who can work with children and community groups to design and implement arts programmes which result in community-wise impacts that can be a stepping stone to a better life.

Feedback

"I Loved Everything About This Experience!"

"Having recently graduated from university, I wanted to gain experience and put my skills into practice; this internship fulfilled that. The mixture of site visits as well as some desktop work that really worked for me. There is opportunity to work with the local community and really get involved. Also, the mentors taught me so much during and are genuinely amazing.

"Joshua is also a great leader who you can can seek help regarding a work issues but also your personal well-being too. Finally, I stayed with a local family who were so accommodating. It was an experience I will never forget and will value forever." - Tiara from the UK (Community Water Projects)
