Volunteering abroad with Cross-Cultural Solutions changed lives. It helped change the way peope saw other cultures. Maybe even change how participants lived life. All while changing the lives of others for the better.

Ultimately Cross-Cultural Solutions changing the way volunteering was done, making it a safe, exciting adventure of a lifetime for people of all ages and walks of life.

Guatemala

I was blessed to experience a life changing trip to Guatemala a few years ago. It was one of the most amazing, authentic and eye awaking experiences of my life. CCS coordinated the lodging and I could not have asked for a more beautiful and warm house. I was exposed to all sides of Guatemala thanks to the staff and I’m forever grateful. 💛

Moshi, Tanzania

It’s really hard to put my CCS experience into words, but I can say that it was one of, if not the best experience of my lifetime. The program was exactly what I was told it would be. I was a little worried traveling so far alone, but CCS made every step of the way comforting and safe. Not only was travelling to my destination easy, but when I got there it was even better. The people who are employed by CCS in Moshi, Tanzania really became a family to us all staying there. My placement was exactly what I had asked for and after spending a few weeks in the program it was very hard to leave. Thanks CCS for the amazing work you do!

Awesome time in Ghana!

I was only in Ghana for a week, however the experience was packed full of opportunities to learn, have fun, and immerse myself in the culture. The CCS staff were professional, yet down-to-earth, and made sure everyone felt right at home. Definitely a trip that I will never forget, and I highly recommend!

CCS- A life changing experience

Volunteering abroad with CCS was an amazing experience and a life changing one. From day one when you first chat with a program enrollment manager who helps you to choose a location, to the hand off to the specific program manager who prepares you for the in-country assignment, to the on-site home base, it is an adventure that is engraved in my soul. Totally worth in every way!

Alumni - Costa Rica 🇨🇷 & Guatemala 🇬🇹

My experience with cross cultural solutions was far beyond what I would have imagined. Costa Rica was absolutely amazing, the staff were friendly and helpful. The volunteer housing was clean and meals were fantastic. Guatemala has the exact same vibe and cleanliness! Their staff were amazing and they became friends rather than acquaintances. I recommend this for everyone who wants to volunteer abroad. Thank you for this opportunity. ❤️

3 months abroad in Lima, Peru! Experience of a lifetime!

I volunteered abroad in Lima, Peru with CCS in the summer of 2013 for their maximum amount of time which is 3 months. I absolutely loved every moment of my experience. Nearly 6 years later, and I still think back to my experiences in Peru daily. I learned so much about myself and the world around me. It opened my eyes to so many different things that I would have never have experienced without going on this trip. Cross Cultral Solutions is an incredible organization and I highly recommend volunteering through them! Awesome staff, great placements within different communities in Lima, and all around a once in a lifetime experience! Absolutely recommend, 10/10!

Morocco with Cross Cultural Solutions

A year ago I was coming back home from My two week experience in Morocco and I must say it was amazing. Even officially a year now I get a thrill just thinking about the amazing experiences and adventures I made there.
I went with a small group from my community college and we were welcomed with open arms at our homebase in Rabat. The program director, Mohammed, is very great in helping us familiarize ourselves with certain terms, how to get around, cuisine and everything. Not to mention he is great with tips when it comes to the volunteer aspect.
Because Cross Cultural Solutions is afterall a volunteer program that’s the main focus. I was very fortunate enough to volunteer with something that is very dear to my heart. I and two other young lady’s from my group were placed at an orphanage with many children with special needs. Whom which we helped feed when we got there and and play with them afterwards. The joy and smiles on their faces were simply beautiful.
This was a great experience and I hope to one day experience it again and hope others to do the same.

Alumni Volunteer

This is a great fit if you're looking for a way to contribute - while still having time and opportunity to learn about the country you're visiting. The program allows you to stay with other volunteers in a neighborhood 'home base' and then travel to your volunteer placement each morning. Placements are assigned based on your skills/interests and the needs of the community. Afternoon activities include things like: language, cooking or dancing lessons relevant to the area, tours of historical/cultural sites. To date, I've traveled and volunteered with CCS in Brazil, Peru, Costa Rica and Morocco...and leave for Greece this Friday.

Dharamshala India with CCS

Amazing 2 week program! We visited so many temples and beautiful ancient forts. During the summer, as schools were closed, we were teaching very young children in a daycare-like setting. On the weekend, adult volunteers are free to plan excursions that are a little farther away. I recommend going to the India/Pakistan border to witness the Peace Ceremony and definitely going to see the Golden Temple. CCS staff was so kind and so helpful - they start to feel like your family overseas. The food was amazing and I never felt unsafe. I loved my trip to India and I would o back in a heartbeat.

I absolutely loved and enjoyed every second I traveled abroad, volunteering. It was the time of my life. I got to teach kids my age English and typwriting skills. It was a great time and I wish I could go back. CCS kept me feeling safe and comfortable with a warm presence. It was really cool to meet all new people. It was just amazing!
