Itinerary

Day 1 Amalfi

Welcome to Amalfi, Italy. Your adventure begins with a group meeting at 1 pm today. We'll be collecting insurance details and next of kin information at this meeting, so ensure you bring these details to provide to your leader. The first port of call is the local supermarket to buy supplies for your trip as a group (we call this a ‘starter park’). The starter pack will include provisions for breakfast, lunch and/or snacks for the whole trip. If you have any special dietary requirements, please make sure you notify us at the time of booking so we can accommodate your requests.

The rest of the day is free to discover the town of Amalfi and its surrounds. Perhaps check out the medieval architecture of the cathedral of Sant'Andrea and convent of the Cappuccini. You may like to take a walk along narrow trails through olive groves, vineyards and ancient villages. The trails are steep and have many stairs, but offer spectacular views over the ocean. In the evening, partake in an optional group meal of local seafood and gelato. You'll spend tonight aboard the boat. ***The beauty of sailing is that each day is unique and, while we have a destination to reach, if the weather changes or something takes the group’s fancy, we are flexible on the day's itinerary***

Day 2 Capri

Set sail for the Isle of Capri, once home to the holiday palaces of the rulers of the Roman empire. Part of Capri's allure is founded on contrasts: from the bustling port of Marina Grande to the breezy summit of Monte Solaro. The dramatic rocky coastline is pierced by natural grottos, while the narrow roads wind through citrus groves, past villages of flat-roofed white houses with flower-filled gardens, and manicured towns which offer swanky hotels and chic cafes. Perhaps head out to explore the Grotta Azzura (Blue Grotto) via motorboat and rowing boat. Although swimming in the grotto isn’t permitted, there’s a small platform close by where you can take a dip. If you choose to return from the Blue Grotto by car, stop off at the quiet hillside town of Anacapri. In the evening, wander through the traffic-free streets of Capri Town. Note: Please note that access to the grotto will be closed if sea conditions are considered too rough.

Day 3 Procida

The morning is free to do as you wish. Perhaps visit the Benedictine abbey of Abbazia di San Michele Arcangelo, a museum featuring a maze of catacombs. Make your way to Capri Town via the Phoenician Steps (Scala Fenicia), a long, steep stairway linking the towns of Capri and Anacapri. A reasonable level of fitness and comfortable shoes are required. In the afternoon, depart Capri and sail back to Procida, the final stop of the trip. Tonight sit down for one last group dinner and dine on rabbit stew or freshly caught seafood.

Day 4 Procida

After breakfast, your sailing adventure ends around 10 am. There are no activities planned for today and you’re free to leave at any time. Your skipper can assist you with directions to the ferry terminal for your return to the mainland, or to your hotel if you have decided to stay on in Procida for a couple of nights. Notes: The Itinerary above may be subject to change depending on weather or berth availability. Your skipper will make the final call to ensure your safety at all times.
