If you are leaving from Brisbane you could spend days travelling to the Outback with the main stops being Charleville, Longreach, Mount Isa, Townsville and Magnetic Island. You will essentially be able to cross deserts, the Outback is the part of Australia which is unique and interesting and a lot different than the coast.This area is quite off the main tourist trail which makes this a place even more appealing to spend time working if you are seeking to integrate into the rural pace of life. Most jobs in this region are in agriculture and farming, some require previous experience whilst others will train you on arrival.
The main attractions of the Northern Territory are the Outback, Ayers Rock and Alice Springs. Darwin is an up and coming destination, it's far from anywhere but half the fun of Darwin is getting there. There is a lot to see and do in in the largest city in the Northern Territory, check the local museum and art gallery for culture or as this is one of the hottest places in the world you might want to visit Leanyer water park. There are also lots of natural beauty spots to visit like Berry Springs and Mindil beach which are peaceful and beautiful.
