The Ugandan Cultural Expedition starts off with the stunning Murchison National Park Trip with a stop at the Boomu Women’s Group on the way. Witness a rural community run by these women and have the chance to join a cooking tour along with many other activities with the group!
Murchison National Park includes an early morning Game Drive to see the nocturnal species of the area and then a Boat Cruise along the Nile! Witness thousands of species including big game like lions, antelope, giraffes, buffalo, and elephants!
Day 4 marks a journey to the Hoima District, home of the amazing landscapes of the Albertine Rift, before experiencing the Kibiro Salt Gardens and Hot Springs. Enjoy the hike to the salt gardens in the awe-inspiring scenery before learning the means of salt extraction and how the locals create immense income through the natural wonder!
The next stop on the Ugandan Cultural Expedition is a tour of Fort Portal. Experience the magic and folklore of the area in the Amabere g’ Nnyinamwiru Caves and the Fort Portal Crater Field that includes scenes of the Rwenzori Mountains (Mountains of the Moon).
The Ugandan Cultural Expedition also offers a morning chimpanzee trek and Bigodi Swamp Ecotourism Site before the night’s stay at the Isuna Lodge. This amazing opportunity is followed by the breathtaking Queen Elizabeth National Park that is home to hundreds of different animal species that you’ll come up close and personal with on the Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise!
You’ll then enjoy a Morning Game Drive on the Savannah Plains before the beautiful road trip to Lake George, an experience that will take up your entire morning before you evening’s transfer to the Ishasha Sector and an evening Game Drive.
Day 9 of the Ugandan Cultural Expedition shows you everything that the wonderful Ishasha Sector has to offer, including the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and the amazing Climbing Lions that await their prey in the hanging branches.
And don’t forget about the legendary Gorillas! Witness them in their natural habitat on a Day Trek for close encounters and photo ops with these amazing animals before an evening excursion into the community to engage with the ancient Batwa Pygmies!
The Ugandan Cultural Expedition still has some adventure left as you’ll enjoy a high ropes course and zip-lining adventure. Soar the through the trees and across Lake Bunyoni (The second deepest lake on the continent!) before a breathtakingly beautiful Sunrise Boat Cruise around the lake the next morning.
The Culture of Banyankole is next on display in the Lake Mburo National Park, home of rare species of zebras, giraffes, Topis, and Antelopes.
Day 13 offers a dive into the Enyemebwa Center to experience the rich history of the natives before experiencing the wonder of the Savannah Acacia Landscapes on Safari!
The last day of the Ugandan Culture Expedition will end the trip on a high note with a Bush Walking Safari putting hundreds of African Species on display. See the interactions between Giraffes, Zebra, Topis, Water Bucks, and Warthogs in their Natural Habitat, and then visit the Uganda Equator for amazing photo opportunities!
