In tropical Iloilo, you'll experience a healthcare system completely alien to you. Here, Nurses have more time to undertake crucial tasks, as most bed-side care is taken on by the families of patients.
As such, you'll spend more time aiding in the diagnoses and treatment of tropical diseases like dengue fever and tetanus, as well as working in the Outpatient Department, encountering rabies, other animal bites, and pediatrics. We also offer the opportunity to live and work with the indigenous Ati Tribe on Guimaras Island, learning about medicinal plants from rural healers.
Off the wards you'll find Iloilo nothing short of a tropical paradise, with plenty of white beaches to relax on and jungle waterfalls to discover.
