Travel to Vietnam – the jewel of Asia – and take part in a cultural exchange that will leave you forever in love with Vietnam and it’s inspiring people, exotic food and stunning scenery.
This project will present you with the unique opportunity to work with enthusiastic and lively Vietnamese children and contribute to providing an improved quality of life for local people living in Vietnam. You will be heavily involved in teaching and playing with local school children, whilst helping to create a sustainable education infrastructure for the future of the local community.
What Does the Project Do?
The aim of the Frontier Vietnam Community Teaching project is to facilitate and implement the educational development objectives of this local NGO, in order to better the lives of the local street children living in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Enthusiastic and aspiring volunteers are needed to provide orphaned and impoverished children with an improved education system, where volunteers work together to improve the level of education in the hope that ultimately students will be able to lead better lives, ensure a brighter future, and integrate successfully into their communities.
What Will I Be Doing?
You will be working at the centre Monday to Friday. Your work schedule will cover a varied and enjoyable programme in this fantastic and humble Vietnamese school. You will engage fully with your students and will awaken your own creativity and initiative. The kinds of activities you can expect to be involved in may include teaching English, light construction and renovationwork and even helping with the production of local handicrafts, which are sold at local markets.
We encourage you to be creative, designing activities that are engaging, interesting, and fun! Whatever you decide you are sure to gain huge satisfaction from interacting with and inspiring these underprivileged children, whilst enhancing your own skills and experience significantly.
