Begin your Exotic Tour in the amazing city of Marrakesh. Enjoy a remarkable day in the Moroccan Desert including an entire day of trekking on a camel. Pass through the traditional villages of Zagora and Merzauga, stay in sedentary tents portraying the authentic local life of the Saharas. Visit nomad families living in hand-woven, goat haired tents and have dinner under the stars among the biggest sand dunes, the ‘ocean without water’.

 

Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech
At the terminal keep your eyes open for the Travel Talk sign, as we pick you up from the airport and take you to our hotel. Gather round in the hotel lobby at 7:00pm as we meet both the other tour members and the guide. Listen up for a fast and informal meeting with the leader including registration and a short brief about the adventures ahead and some country info. Optional dinner together is available to get to know your travel mates better.

Day 2: Marrakech, Essaouira
After breakfast we depart for Essaouira, in the evening, you have an option to visit the Medina of Essaouira which is a UNESCO World Heritage listed city.

Day 3: Essaouira, Casablanca
Today we’ll first visit the United Nations Square, the Anfa Residential Quarter and the impressive Mosque of Hassan II in Casablanca and depart for amazing sea resort to have some relax time by the Ocean.

Day 4: Casablanca, Rabat, Chefchaouen
Today we will drive to Rabat, visit around the capital city of Morocco set in a rich, amber-coloured landscape combining the ancient history with the modern Moroccan culture, and then stay overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 5: Chefchaouen, Fes
Today we explore the blue city of Morocco,Chefchaouen ! Then we visit the medina, Outa el-Hammam Square, waterfall of Ras el-Maa, the Spanish Mosque which has the best view of Chefchaouen. In the evening, we drive to the cultural heart of Morocco, Fes. This city is the third largest in the country and best known for its labrinyth of souks and leather tanneries - the smell will not be forgotten!

Day 6: Fes
Today we start to discover amazing city of Fes including, Bab Bouloud Gate, Bou Inania Madrasa, Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, Andalusian Garden, Quaraouiyine Mosque, Najjarine Square, Spices Market, Terina Madrasa, the surroundings of Karaouine Medina and Mellah.

Day 7: Fes, Merzouga
Today we drive to the village of Merzouga, famous for magestic sand dunes and a true depiction of the desert landscapes Morocco is known for. On the way to Merzauga, we pass by Tazarine which is the capital of Henna and Risani which is the last city before dunes and it is the origine of Alaouites dinasty. In the afternoon, we will reach our Merzauga campsite and we join a 4x4 jeep safari for 2 hours.During the jeep safari we have the opportunity to see different beautiful landscapes, isolated berber villages, oasises, dunes and nomads...

Day 8: Merzouga
Today we will jeep safari through the Sahara and enjoy the adventurous atmosphere of the desert life.After sharing our experiences with our travel mates and dining under a starry sky, we stay in sedentary tents portraying the authentic local life of the Saharas.

Day 9: Merzouga, Marrakech
After the breakfast, we depart for Marrakech. This fascinating city is the point where the Arab culture of the cities meet the Berber culture of the mountain villages. It's where historically, the sub-Saharan traders (carrying gold, salt and slaves) would trade their wares to the merchants who would then bring them to Europe. Today we visit Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Dar Si Said Museum and Djemaa el-Fna Square - a chaotic area packed with story tellers, snake charmers, acrobats, musicians and folk dancers. After an amazing day we will depart for Marrakech. In the afternoon we'll explore the famous Djemaa el Fna Square in Marrakech.

Day 10: Marrakech
Our trip will end after check-out (11:00am) say goodbye to our new friends over breakfast, and we bid you safe travels.
