SEE graduates range in age from 18 to 70, and are usually between 22 and 50 years old. Typical classes have a mix of males and females from a variety of countries, and backgrounds. Our graduates teach English as a Foreign Language across Thailand and throughout the world. We strive to provide a useful and effective TEFL teacher training program. Our organization also hires dozens of English teachers every year for placement in schools throughout Chiang Mai and Northern Thailand.
We’ve trained, under the same management, over the past 10+ years, more than 1,000 successful TEFL certificate graduates. Our trainees generally find work very quickly and the SEE TEFL certification is accepted throughout Thailand and the world. We have a job guarantee that backs this up.
Our school is licensed by the Thai Ministry of Education to teach TEFL courses, as well as English and Thai language courses. The reason I chose to study with SEE TEFL, was due to the majority of other agencies being either less recognised, less professionally setup, poorly located, little to no face to face experience with students and the uncertainty of whether or not you will find work on completion of the course. (I am speaking from experience as I have taken 3 other TEFL courses).
All of these issues were not relevant to SEE TEFL, as it has been around for a long enough time, that it is practically "the" place to go.
This company is extremely well organised, professional and you will be offered plenty of work depending on your eagerness and enthusiasm for the no one of work.
You will be taught enough that wherever you go, you should have sufficient enough experience to handle and age level. The only thing that is not included is your knowledge on certain areas, which is entirely up to yourself to further your studies in, should you wish to teach in a specific field (like IELTS, TOEFL, TESOL or even a core subject like Math, history, science or geography).
The best thing I found about the course was their encouragement to help your peers out and to make new friends. If it wasn't for this course, I probably would not still be here (nearly 6 years on).
They also include a great cultural introduction to Thailand lesson and you will even get a few Thai Language classes (well worth paying attention in).
All supplies and materials are supplied by the school, so all you really need are a few nice shirts, some slacks and of course, a diary or journal for taking notes in.
