As a volunteer on a Veterinary Medicine project, you will gain some fantastic work experience and develop a better understanding of issues in developing communities.

Shadowing local vets, you’ll learn how to handle different animals and will see examples of diseases and conditions that have almost been eradicated in developed countries.

Depending on the destination you choose, you may find yourself assisting with the treatment of domestic animals, administering vaccinations, observing surgery, or assisting in the laboratory.

We also welcome professionally qualified vets and veterinary nurses for volunteering placements. These professional volunteering placements allow you to put your skills and expertise to the best use through assisting with treatments as well as exchanging knowledge and ideas with the local staff.
