Physiotherapy Volunteering in Nepal

Company : Projects Abroad
Location : Kathmandu, Chitwan
Duration: 2 weeks to 1 Year+
Approx Costs: 1000 to 3000+ £ Pound (UK)

A Physiotherapy placement with Projects Abroad in Nepal offers volunteers the chance to gain valuable work experience in one of the poorest countries in the world.

In Nepal we can offer physiotherapy placements to suit volunteers of all levels of experience, so whether you are an aspiring physiotherapist or a qualified professional we will be happy to provide you with a placement and we will tailor your role based upon your background.

Volunteers with less experience will work alongside a local physiotherapist and will have the opportunity to learn through observing and helping out in practical ways. Those with more experience and qualifications will be able to play a more active role and may even be give their own patients to treat.

We offer a range of different placements, including hospitals, clinics and rehabilitation centres, in both Kathmandu and Chitwan. You may come across neglected orthopaedic conditions such as tuberculosis, polio and cerebral palsy. Some patients travel for many hours to visit a physiotherapist.

Projects Abroad Physiotherapy Volunteering in Nepal Reviews

I had a great time in Nepal with Projects Abroad

I did this project in Nepal and definitely had great time. Discovering a country that is so different from mine taught me a lot. I've seen things I would never be able to experience anywhere else. Both hospital staff and other volunteers made that trip an unforgettable one. I highly recommend Projects Abroad and hope to go somewhere with them again.
