Our Grown-up Specials are two-week placements for volunteers aged 50+. The programmes run to a set two-week schedule which also includes cultural weekend activities arranged by our local staff.
Currently, we are offering projects in Nepal, South Africa, Cambodia, Peru and Ecuador (Galapagos Islands). Depending on which placement you choose, activities may include teaching at an underprivileged school, assisting with building work, caring for children and participating in community outreach activities.
These placements offer older volunteers the chance to embark on a meaningful travel experience. It's a unique opportunity to explore a new destination, experience different cultures, share your wisdom and life skills, and make new friends. You are welcome to sign up alone, as a couple or in a group.
Projects Abroad staff are on-hand to support you every step of the way, from our pre-departure Volunteer Advisors to our destination staff who are available 24-hours a day for anything you may need.
