In Rabat, there is a huge burden on low income families who support a family member with a disability, with little or no support from government agencies outside of basic medical care in inadequately equipped hospitals.
As well as helping out in the day-to-day running of these care facilities by providing an extra pair of hands, volunteers with help to stimulate the children through games and other activities to help strengthen memory, learning ability, physical health, social skills and emotional coping techniques. Volunteers work on goals set out by our Care Management Plan.
We welcome volunteers of all levels of previous experience to participate on this project and will tailor your role based around your experience and background. We also welcome volunteers with training and experience in specialised areas such as speech therapy, occupational therapy and psychology.
