Animal Care Projects Abroad

Company : Projects Abroad
Duration: 2 weeks to 1 Year+
Approx Costs: 1500 to 3000+ £ Pound (UK)

If you have a passion for working with animals, then our voluntary Animal Care projects are the perfect way for you to gain work experience as well as help animals in the developing world.

We have a number of different types of Animal Care placements in some fantastic destinations, including animal shelters, rehabilitation centres and rescue centres.

Attitudes to animals can be very different in developing societies to that you may have experienced at home. A dog may be 'man's best friend', and considered another member of the family in the UK, but this is not always the case in the developing world. In many countries there is a much higher incident rate of animal neglect, and therefore a great need for volunteer help.

We have some fantastic and worthwhile projects available, including:

  • Animal Sanctuary in Argentina
  • Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation Centre in Boliva
  • Panda Centre in China
  • Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation Centre in Jamaica
  • Animal Rescue Centre in Mexico
  • Dog Rescue Centre in Romania
  • Animal Rescue Centre in South Africa
  • Seabird Centre in South Africa

Projects Abroad Animal Care Projects Abroad Reviews

Amazing time

I went to volunteer with animals in Argentina and I had an amazing time. I learned a lot about the country and the culture. We had a great group of volunteers and I had such an amazing time. To volunteer was a wonderful experience which I really recommend to everyone. It gives a different view of the own life and how beautiful it is to help! Projects Abroad is the best organisation and I would book again with them. Everything was well organised. I'm really thinking about going to do another volunteer project soon.
