The organization is dedicated to providing year-round programs for local and international volunteers to interact in development process by participating in projects which support to enrich the lives of people living in deprived communities of Ghana. We identify needy projects in deprived communities and send in the support we receive from volunteers, well-wishers and donor organizations.

Dream Africa Volunteer Service was established in 2006 to support a wide range of development projects in deprived communities of Ghana. DAVS Ghana is a vibrant; community development and progress oriented organization made up of young professionals and dedicated Volunteers working for the development of rural communities in Ghana. DAVS Ghana is registered with the Registrar General Department and the Social welfare Department of Ghana.

It is legally licensed to operate as a Non-Governmental organization. The organization works with partner programs which are non-governmental and private business. The partner programs are mainly involved in education, health, social services and community development. Our current projects are; Orphanage and Children's home, HIV/AIDS Education, Rural Child Education and School Support project, computer Literacy, Rural Health Projects, and Soccer Academy.

 

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  • To encourage international and local volunteers towards volunteerism to contribute in community development.
  • Advocate for the rights of children and promoting their welfare.
  • To fight poverty and exclusion; strengthen the capacity of disadvantaged communities; support initiative for peace, human rights and equity and mobilize resources.
  • To sensitize the youth in the rural areas on the threat of HIV/AIDS menace.
  • To promote computer literacy through education, provision of information and communication technology facilities in rural communities.
