The preserve is owned by a Costa Rican/American family who are trying to protect the cloudforest and open it up to others (visitors, enthusiasts, school children, volunteers).
Outstanding example of a virgin cloud forest. Trails are constructed with minimal damage to the ecosystem which is unique and of mayor importance to the conservation of this delicate environment. I absolutely love Artemis as do the visitors whom I host here in Paradise.
