Over the past 45 years, SRISA has become one of the top art and design schools in Italy. SRISA offers accredited programs of study including academic year, semester, and summer study abroad; Post-Baccalaureate Certificates; and internships. Courses are taught in the English language. Additionally, SRISA hosts a multitude of Faculty-Led and Customized programs throughout the year.

With over 15,000 square feet of space in 3 dedicated fully equipped campuses, located in the historic heart of Florence SRISA provides some of the best art facilities available in the city.

 

Our Study Programs in Florence

SRISA offers a range of courses in the Fine Arts, Liberal Arts, and Design. Students are able to study across the disciplines, trying things that may be outside their major or furthering their skills in a particular subject. SRISA offers a wonderful blend of academic courses and Florence based subjects that embrace the experience of study abroad. All SRISA courses are accredited through Maryville University, St. Louis and follow the US credit and grading system.

Courses are taught in English, with the exception of higher-level Italian courses. Taking part in one of SRISA's study abroad programs in Florence is a once in a lifetime experience. SRISA offers a full-immersion experience in the heart of Florence, Italy. SRISA's students live in local apartments, travel throughout Tuscany and Italy, and experience Florence as a student of Art, Liberal Arts and Design. All classes, with the exception of Italian, are taught in English and courses follow the US University model of instruction.  Open enrollment allows students to pick and choose the courses that best fit each students' degree plan and interests.

Studio and Lecture Facilities

Our students work in spacious and excellently equipped studios. Our printmaking, photography, painting, 3D and 4D facilities, as well as computer classrooms, are the best in Florence.

 

Transcripts

Santa Reparata International School of Art (SRISA) is affiliated with Maryville University in St. Louis, which grants credit for courses successfully completed at SRISA during Fall, Spring and Summer academic programs. SRISA students that meet Maryville University enrollment requirements and successfully complete their studies at SRISA may obtain a domestic transcript through Maryville University. Maryville University is fully accredited through The Higher Learning Commission, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

 

Housing at SRISA

You don't have to worry about housing, we do it for you. SRISA arranges housing upon request for students enrolled at the school. It is a great opportunity for students to get to know one another while being immersed in the daily Italian life that greatly enriches their study abroad experience.

 

Field Trips

Travel is a big part of studying abroad. While in Florence students will want to take advantage of the many opportunities available to explore Italy and Europe. In addition to traveling independently, students participate in some or all of the travel opportunities that SRISA offers to sites all over Italy.
