C3 is a young and dynamic organization demonstrating how credible and rigorous scientific research can be combined with traditional ecological knowledge to inform effective conservation management actions from grassroots to regional and international levels.

This is an ideal means for qualified individuals to apply their teaching skills in an incredible biodiversity hotspot, gaining full immersion in a fascinating culture.Transferring English language skills to local people will greatly increase their capacity to work within the conservation sector and make links with overseas researchers and donors in order to promote the conservation of Madagascar's unique biodiversity.

 

Location:

  • Antsiranana, Madagascar

 

Duties:

  • Teaching advanced English classes two hours daily to our Malagasy staff who already have basic English skills
  • Weekly 2 hour basic English class to larger (10) groups of students at the local university

 

Requirements

  • Experience living in a developing country
  • TEFL qualification
  • Experience teaching French native speakers an advantage

We provide food and shared accommodation. The teacher needs to cover costs of flights and insurance.
