Camp Live Oak offers programs in two locations in beautiful South Florida.

We are now a Non- Profit Organization 501 (c)(3),  which helps us make sure our campers get all the benefits of any revenue we generate. We make sure every dollar goes into our various programs, activities, and most importantly to provide camper scholarships.

Camp Live Oak’s awesome mission is to provide a nurturing setting that will enhance each camper’s sense of self-worth, by providing opportunities, through active play, to develop self-confidence, as they embrace guided risks through interaction with nature.  Our goal is that our campers leave us with resourcefulness; increased confidence; respect for themselves, and others; courage to face new physical, and mental challenges; and a profound appreciation of nature.

Employment

Whether you are a returning staff member or a prospective one, all the information you need is in this section for easy access. We select highly skilled team members who have experience working with children.  Camp Live Oak strives to make significant contributions to the overall education of our campers.

We are committed to preserving the natural environment by educating our campers about the natural world around them. Camp Live Oak provides a unique environmental opportunity in which children can experience the wonder and joy of curiosity, discovery, and the fascination that South Florida’s diverse ecosystem generously provides.

After we’ve received and processed your application or resume, our Associate Director will contact you to schedule an interview. All applications are kept on file for 90 days and must be resubmitted thereafter for reconsideration. Camp Live Oak is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes all that apply. A variety of positions are available for Birch State Park and Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park.

Please specify which location you are interested in on your application.

International Applicants

Although we encourage international applicants, it is important to note that we do not have on or off site sleeping quarters to house international staff. Many times, applicants will have prior living arrangements set up or acquaintances which they can live with during their time at camp.

If you do have a place to stay as well as transportation while in South Florida, then please submit your application and resume for review.
