Experience of a Lifetime

I absolutely loved my stint experience with all my heart and I will never forget it. I was placed in an animation studio called Kavaleer and I got to meet people within the Irish animation industry. My coworkers were so sweet and helpful and I miss them all dearly. I gained a lot of experience and now have contacts in the European animation field. Stint did a great job placing me, and the overall trip was amazing. The places they took us and the flat we stayed in were superb. I toured Ireland by bus, held sheep, stood on cliffs and drank all the Guinness a girl could ask for. It was a dream.

Experience of a Lifetime

I spent a summer in Ireland through Stint and it was one of the best experiences of my life.

It was a summer filled with meeting new friends and having new adventures.

Plus I had an amazing internship that helped me grow as a person and further my career.

Right away when you land in Ireland, Stint takes care of you.

They pick you up via taxi and take you to your house. They are super helpful and make sure you are as comfortable as possible. You also live with people that are in Ireland through Stint so it is easy to make new friends.

Stint also plans weekend outings and get togethers that help you experience Ireland and even other parts of Europe.

They are also there for you should any problems arise within your house, within your internship, or if you just want someone to talk to.

I cannot reccomend Stint enough.

Ireland will always have a special place in my heart thanks to Stint.

If you do decide to experience Ireland through them, you definitely will not regret it!

Summer Stint Ireland Internship Placement

The summer of 2017, I had the privilege of joining the Stint Ireland team. The process of being accepted is very laid back, and easy. They strive to relieve the stress that many students may have whilst trying to find a proper internship.

I sent in my application and within a week I heard back from their head director. We then scheduled a phone interview where I was asked basic interview questions. The director wanted to know what I looked for in an internship so she could start the process to find one that matches my likes. Within two weeks, she emailed me with several options along with descriptions of each.

I was able to research on my own and determine which placement I wanted to move forward with. Once I had picked my favorite, the Director then scheduled a Skype interview between the company and myself. This interview mirrored my first one, it was also very laid back. In the end, it was a mutual agreement that I would be working for this company.

I then received my start and end date and the Director gave me a schedule of when I should fly out and pay for the room I would be staying in.

Once in Ireland, I had a day to relax and after that I went in to Stint Ireland's office for my orientation. The staff were all very friendly. The day after that, I went into my internship's office for their orientation as well as a brief training.

From then on, everything went smoothly. I ended up having many roommates, some of us had our own rooms, some shared. We all shared bathrooms, common areas and the kitchen. We had housekeeping that would come once a week to clean bathrooms, and change our bed sheets and towels.

My only piece of advice would be to do your own research for the companies that they suggest to you. Read reviews on glassdoor, check out their websites. Make sure that this company would be a great fit for you. When doing your interview with the company, don't be afraid to ask questions about your duties so you are fully aware of what will be expected out of you when you arrive.

Overall, I had pleasant experience and would recommend this company to anyone looking to experience Ireland.
