Stewarts of Tayside is borne out of the dedication, passion and experience of the Stewart family and our staff over a number of decades. We pride ourselves on the quality of our produce and efficiency of growing, harvesting, packing and delivering it to our customers 52 weeks of the year.

Positions

We are now recruiting for positions in our vegetable packhouse.

We employ a large number of seasonal and full time staff across our operations, principally from various countries around central Europe.

The majority of positions arise within our soft fruit enterprises and covers a wide variety of tasks, including fruit picking and packing; horticultural work; irrigation work; poly tunnel and general maintenance. Full training, development and support is provided to ensure employees perform to the best of their abilities.

A large number of our EU workers tend to be students seeking seasonal summer work and often they return year after year. The busiest season runs from April to October, with starting dates between April and July.

 

Location and Accommodation

Our business is centred in and around Tofthill Farm, Glencarse, Perth, Scotland, PH2 7LS. The farm and accommodation facilities lie between the historic cities of Perth (10km away) and Dundee (25km) on the banks of the River Tay. We are 1 hour from Edinburgh and Glasgow. The accommodation facilities are within short walking distance of regular public transport.

The accommodation site is home to clean and safe facilities which we offer to our staff at a regulated and fair price. It is also subject to regular local council Environmental Health inspections and is fully compliant with those.

Our extensive and well equipped facilities comprise the following:

  • Excellent toilet and shower facilities which are cleaned daily
  • Laundrettes with automatic washing machines and driers
  • Communal kitchen facilities with a full range of cooking accessories

Human Resource and Administrative Support

Our prospective candidates and employees enjoy the support of a multi-lingual Human Resources team who are there to assist with their applications, induction and their on-going welfare during their time with us. We have dedicated office facilities at our accommodation site and head office where our trained teams are on hand to assist in whatever way we can.

This includes as standard procedure:
