Property Managers/Chalet Couple - Winter and summer seasons

Opportunities for this coming winter or summer, and potentially on a longer term basis.  Based on-site in a small apartment at our largest self-catered chalet in Samoens, this role is extremely varied and entails all elements of chalet management including cleaning, maintenance and providing an excellent service to the guests that stay with us.

You will have responsibility for all guest bookings in Chalet and Apartment Moccand and The Mazot, sleeping 24 people in total.  Plus Chalet Toubkal sleeping a further 10 people and La Cabine sleeping 4 people.  This includes:
• Creating a welcoming, relaxed and friendly holiday environment for guests and covering all aspects of the guest check in procedure.
• Responsibility for the full weekend changeover of the chalet units, to include cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, making beds and cleaning windows and communal areas.
• Full management of swim spa/hot tubs.
• Daily maintenance duties and running of the properties, from fixing door handles to clearing snow in winter, stacking logs, and gardening in summer.
• Laundering and ironing linens ready for changeover days.
• 24/7 contact for guests arriving and during their stay.
• Providing ad-hoc office assistance such as assisting with distributing ski passes and general admin tasks.

You should be happy getting your hands dirty as cleaning is the main part of the Property/Chalet Managers role.  We are looking for people with exceptional standards and attention to detail, bags of passion and energy, plus strong customer service skills.

Flexibility, a positive attitude, and the desire to go the extra mile are a must at all times.  A conversational level of French would be beneficial as we greet many French guests.  Also basic maintenance experience is essential for at least one member of the couple, plus a background of positions which have involved a high level of cleaning would be ideal.

These chalet management positions could also lead to a longer term career in the Alps in partnership with Alps Accommodation.  If you would like to settle in France, there is the opportunity of starting your own business within the field of Property Management.

The above experience offers an excellent grounding to establish your own successful business, working for a broad range of self-catered property owners in the Grand Massif who feature their accommodation with us.  Longer term it is essential you are able to set up initial contracts and build strong relationships with the property owners, resort partners, and the guests arriving within the properties you manage.

If you are looking to move to, or further develop your experience in one of France’s most beautiful ski resorts, then please send your CV with covering letter explaining why you feel you are suitable, plus include photos.  You really must have a desire to live in the mountains and experience all it has to offer you.

Only apply if you are genuinely not afraid of getting your hands dirty and working hard to ensure the guests have an amazing holiday. This could genuinely lead to running your own business, and you can reap the rewards of your excellent attentive levels of service.

Applicants must have the right to work and live in France (yes that does mean that UK citizens can still apply!)  The number of hours vary but are anticipated to be around 28-30 hours a week, so could suit a couple or friends looking for plenty of mountain time, with accommodation, ski passes and pay provided.

Please apply to Alison Ward-Lee and include your CV.

We look forward to hearing from you.
