You'll work as an assistant teacher to the music teacher. The school hasmany ethnic children who are classed as the underprivileged community in Auckland: they are from many different communities and countries, such as Maori, Somalia, Ethiopia, Tonga and Samoa. These children come from lower economic social backgrounds areas of Auckland and are not as fortunate as other children - this is where your teaching can make a difference!

Class sizes vary between 20 and 30 children in each class and you will be teaching children between the ages of 4 and 12. As an assistant music teacher at the school, you'll be involved in teaching a number of different instruments and groups:
► Guitar
► Recorder
► Instrumental
► Keyboards/Piano
► Choir
► Instrumental group
