Soi Dog Foundation is a fully registered charity with the aim to alleviate the suffering of the street dogs and cats in Thailand with a shelter on the island of Phuket.
At SDF we are currently accepting animal lovers as general volunteers.
Volunteers work with the 1,600 plus residents at our shelter. There are roughly 1,200 dogs and 400 cats. These animals are often the victims of cruelty and abuse, or neglect, but still generally love humans and thrive on the one to one contact that our full time staff do not always have the time to give.
Routine work includes walking and socialising with the dogs, and socialising with the cats.
No assistance with expenses can be provided. We have negotiated special rates for accommodation at beach locations and provide transport to and from the shelter for a fee of just 100 baht per day.
