One of the most significant problems for young people in India relates to a lack of education. While the population is more than intelligent, there aren’t enough opportunities for everyone to thrive.
Our teaching English programs are designed to turn that situation around and let volunteers use their skills to change the lives of these disadvantaged students. If teaching English has been your passion, you will enjoy teaching the language as a volunteer in India.
You will find students who are eager to learn, learners who are excited to be taught by foreigners and in a conducive learning environment. The atmosphere is quite good, you will love it and it will be an exciting time helping the children polishes their skills in English and at the same time improving your English teaching skills.
Working as an English teacher in India is an opportunity to sharpen your skills and also help the less privileged children in society. It is also an opportunity to inspire children, and motivate them to learn the language and also work hard in their studies. Children love to learn from a foreign individual. Volunteers teach them with fun, so they feel more interest in English.
Requirements
You do not have to be an English teacher to volunteer in this program, given that it is only an attempt to give the children a different perspective of the language, one is not required to offer an in-depth knowledge of English grammar, all that is needed is accuracy and a willingness to motivate the children to improve their English speaking, reading and writing skills.
To be a volunteer as an English teacher, you need a sound knowledge of English grammar. Also, need the interest to meet with new children and people. As an individual, if you want to start as an English teacher in India, it is so easy. This is also an excellent opportunity for you to improve your skills too.

This experience was amazing in so many ways. You will learn so much about the culture and way of living, you will experience beautiful nature, country, hectic and full of energy city streets, and markets. You will always be and feel welcomed and appreciated while volunteering. ISPiiCE staff and volunteer home are very accommodating. I met wonderful people along the way and now have life long friends. You will enjoy visiting tea plantations, the amazing Taj Mahal, treking the Himalayas, visiting the Dali Llama school and museum, and so much more! I was there for 3 weeks and would highly recommend this program, you will forever have India in your heart after you leave.
I went to volunteer with iSPiiCE in Dharamshala and it was such a wonderful experience. I got to learn so much about India and the culture. I would highly recommend this program if you are keen to go travelling in India and do something meaningful like volunteering.
