Hamba Africa is an Eco-Tour operator focused on wildlife conservation volunteer placements in Southern Africa.
We're an eco-tour operator with two goals: Make an active contribution to protecting the environment and inspiring and teaching our guests valuable skills that help them get into the wonderful world of conservation.
With our own in-house ecologists and safari guides, we develop our own independent conservation projects as well as working with local experts and invest in existing organisations that share our ethos.
With over 12 conservation projects for volunteers to get involved with, there's a lot on offer.
From researching the biggest rhino to surveying the smallest insects, anti-poaching patrols, wildlife handling and presentations, rehabilitation and veterinary work to socio-economic development, we do it all!
This way we believe our positive effect on the environment is felt at every level.
It also gives our volunteers a great opportunity to learn a diverse array of new skills which we hope you'll take with you and use in your careers or academic studies. Or helping you find that aspect of conservation your particularly passionate about.
Plus you'll travel and explore the surrounding area: staying at various locations, getting having a go at adrenaline pumping activities, you'll get to see the best of South Africa.
