Each year, thousands of children enjoy outdoor summer adventures through visits with volunteer host families along the East Coast and Southern Canada and at The Fund’s five overnight camps in Fishkill, NY.

Whether learning to swim, building a campfire for the first time, or climbing to new heights on the ropes course, a Fresh Air summer gives a child a new perspective and opportunities to make friends, develop confidence and learn skills that will last a lifetime.

Employment

Perhaps you love working with children. Running across the ball field, washing off the glitter glue, or swimming in the lake – with your cabin group laughing around you – you’ll be in your element. Or maybe you’re more organized than artsy; better at making plans than making s’mores. You can’t carry a tune, but your writing skills are top-notch.

Whether you yearn to become a camp counselor, or look forward to working in our Manhattan offices, there is a position that’s right for you. The Fresh Air Fund is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, or disability.
