Casa Xalteva, founded in 1995 in the beautiful colonial city of Granada, Nicaragua, aims to foster international connection and building stronger and happier local communities.  All of our proceeds go towards our program to support local children and adolescents in situations of risk and vulnerability.

As an award winning social enterprise, we offer Spanish immersion classes and homestay accommodation to students from all over the world.  We offer both small group and private, 20 hour per week classes.  We cater to all different levels and learning needs. Homestays offer you the chance to live with a local family and practise your Spanish skills. Families provide you with a private room and three meals per day.   In addition we also arrange weekly excursions with our in-house tour guide, to give you the opportunity to explore a bit more the beauty of Nicaragua.

All of our proceeds as a language school go towards our program for children and teens in situations of risk and vulnerability.  We provide scholarships to obtain the best possible education at primary, secondary and university level, all learning materials, homework support, two meals a day, English classes, vocational training, and a program based on love, respect and understanding. For our Spanish students there are also opportunities to engage as volunteers in our children's program.

Casa Xalteva can therefore provide life-changing experiences. You can learn/improve on your Spanish skills, become an adopted son/daughter of a Nicaraguan family and engage with a program making a worthwhile difference in the lives on Nicaragua's youth.
