Acacia Africa Reviews

African Adventure

My wife and I had the pleasure of going on an amazing African Adventure this summer! We chose the overland camping safari travel and started off in Kenya then traveled to Tanzania and ended our trip in Zanzibar before returning home. Every day was filled with something new! Game drives through the Serengeti, hot air balloon rides over the Masai Mara, snorkeling in the crystal clear blue waters of Zanzibar... it was an amazing trip! Acacia Africa really took care of us every step of the way! We will be returning to travel with them again and see South Africa!

Great option for solo travelers to team up with other travelers

I’ve been on the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe/Zambia tour and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. They pack in great itineraries at reasonable prices and the guides go out of their way to deliver a first class service. From my experience, travelers tend to be in the 25-35 age range on average, are aware of what they’d like to get out of the tour in terms of sight-seeing and experiences, well-travelled, friendly and fun.

Trip of a lifetime!

I cannot recommend Acacia Africa enough! We spent an amazing two weeks on their "Kenya and Tanzania Adventure accommodated" tour and would travel through Africa no other way. Acacia took care of every last detail, from the transportation to the food, while also allowing for enough "us time". The entire staff was incredible - especially our beloved tour guide Sammy. Sammy unfortunately passed away while we were on our trip. The entire Acacia team was extremely thoughtful and professional about ensuring we continued as scheduled on our tour. Sammy was a treasure and our group was lucky to have him! We were fortunate with our next tour guide - Krispie - who kept us moving along. We loved the accommodation version of this trip as it gave us a good blend of cozy accommodations and camping.

Best way to see so much of Africa!

I joined the 31 day trip from Nairobi to Joburg - absolutely amazing trip of a life time! Loved the mode of transport in the truck and having most our meals provided by the guide. And for us to help out cooking as well :). Highly recommend Acacia to travel around Africa!

Desert Tracker

I did a 25 day desert tracker visiting South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Acacia Africa exceeded my expectations as it was the most amazing trip I have ever done and felt very accommodated. Our tour guide Pete and driver Sam were incredible and looked after us all. It truely was one of my most memorable trips and I highly recommend them.

Fantastic Tour to amazing places

I have just finished visiting Kruger, Swaziland and St Lucia with Acacia and they were fantastic! Really well ran with great inclusions. The safaris were in proper Safari vehicles with expert guides and we managed to see 4 of the big 5. In Swaziland we stayed right in the heart of the national park surrounded by the wild animals - this would be a very difficult experience if travelling alone so I couldn't recommend doing this tour enough! The trip continued to Cape Town but I left at Durban so it offers flexibility depending on your travel style. Accommodation was great - I went for camping but only actually camped 3/6 nights as in Swaziland I was able to upgrade for just $1 per night!! And in St Lucia we were in permament tents.
Such awesome value for money!!!
