Best Places to Volunteer in Egypt

There are volunteer programs located throughout the country and if you volunteer Cairo in your spare time you can visit world famous sights like Pyramids and the Sphinx at Giza. You can book organised experiences on arrival there are no lack of guides waiting to guide you around the historical sites. If it’s a Mediterranean atmosphere you prefer then a volunteering program in Alexandria could appeal to you.

Egypt’s second largest city, Alexandria’s architecture is vastly different to Cairo’s yet its history is equally as rich. Founded by Alexander the Great in 331BC, the city will appeal to culture vultures who will appreciate the famous Montazah Palace Gardens. Head out and about by foot to explore the city and don’t forget to head to Mansheya for real Egyptian food and some of the best falafel you’ll ever taste.

WWOOF in Egypt

The Habiba Organic Farm is located in a Bedouin settlement in Nuweiba, South Sinai and need volunteers to help. Meals and lodgings are included and you will be able to help with general farm tasks and sustainable living projects. You will need to be able to stay for at least 2 weeks.
