How to Volunteer in Aghanistan

Afghanistan is one of the most dangerous and poorest countries in the world, and international assistance is needed all year round. There are lots of international and local organisations working on the ground to help improve infrastructure, education, healthcare and bring peace to a very violent country.

Although the violence you see in the media can make the prospect of going to help in Afghanistan a scary prospect, some parts of the country are safe and security is increasing. Going to teach in Afghanistan is popular with foreigners and is a way to make a real difference.

If you would like to make a real difference in a developing country, you really should think about going to help in Afghanistan. Some organisations hire international volunteers, both skilled and un-skilled to help all year round.

Please note due to the current situation in Afghanistan it isn't currently safe to volunteer in the country and most international organisations are pulling all staff out of the country.
