This specialty rating is another example of how Utila Dive Centre lead the way in pioneering dive techniques and training. Sidemount diving is the fastest growing area in technical and also recreational diving, and allows divers better streamlining in the water, more redundancy with an additional tank if desired, and better trim and body positioning.

This company later became The Standard Fruit Company and made bananas the major export crop of Honduras.
