Day-to-day tasks are diverse as each week is different and the needs of individual guests vary too. Socialising is a very important aspect of volunteering, so much of your time will be spent enjoying the holiday with guests - going out on day trips, having meals and drinks and watching our great entertainment or TV. There may also be kitchen/domestic duties required.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life and form a crucial part of the Vitalise team, ensuring our guests have a special holiday experience. Some volunteers stay for a week or two, whereas others stay for several months. It's up to you how much time you give.

In a recent Vitalise survey:

- 9/10 of respondents said that volunteering for Vitalise had left them feeling more confident and well-rounded, and had inspired them to play a greater part in society as a result.

- Over 99% of respondents agreed that volunteering for Vitalise had improved their understanding and attitude towards people with disabilities.

- 84% of respondents said they believed that volunteering for Vitalise had improved their prospects of getting paid work.

Volunteering with Vitalise can be hard work, but it is lots of fun too; making new friends, learning valuable skills and experiencing that warm feeling that comes from having a positive impact on people’s lives.
