Positions on offer

Programme positions are available for experienced ski, snowboard and outdoor activity instructors as well as qualified nurses and paramedics. Support positions are available for those with a desire to work in the hotel and catering industry and who enjoy skiing, snowboarding or just the mountain environment.

All positions are residential and include full room and board, accident and liability insurance in addition to a generous salary. Programme positions include a ski lift pass for the duration of employment. All applicants must be fluent in English.

Ski/snowboard counsellor

Counsellors are responsible for the daily supervision and instruction of a small group of children with a similar ski or snowboard ability. Children never ski alone and are supervised from leaving the hotel/chalet in the morning to their safe return home at the end of the day.

Depending on the ability level and requirements of the group, counsellors may be expected to manage and present a video ski clinic or prepare a video skills review for school examination boards. All counsellors promote teamwork within their group as well as an appreciation of the mountain environment and encourage every child to improve their technique and develop their skills.

In addition to the daily skiing or snowboarding instruction, counsellors are expected to participate in a full programme of evening activities and occasionally escort clients from and to airports and train stations.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience instructing both skiing and snowboarding, but a limited number of positions are available to applicants with only skiing or only snowboarding experience.

Multi-activity counsellor

Multi-activity counsellors are responsible for the daily supervision of a small group of children at our multi-activity programmes and summer camps. Children are supervised from leaving the hotel/chalet in the morning to their safe return home at the end of the day.

Multi-activity counsellors will be expected to support and assist specialist sport and activity instructors as well as lead certain activity sessions, for which basic training will be given. All counsellors promote teamwork within their group as well as an appreciation of the mountain environment and encourage every child to improve their technique and develop their skills.

In addition to the daily programme of sports, outdoor activities and excursions, multi-activity counsellors are expected to participate in a full programme of evening activities and occasionally escort children from and to airports and train stations.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience participating in a number of sports and/or outdoor activities, either as an individual or part of a team, as well as those with experience of working at a summer camp.

Healthcare and ski/snowboard counsellor

Healthcare counsellors are responsible for both client and staff health. Daily responsibilities will include providing first aid when required, managing and administering prescribed medication as well as maintaining detailed medical records and producing comprehensive reports, as required.

Healthcare and ski/snowboard counsellors have most of the responsibilities of ski/snowboard counsellors and in addition to daily healthcare duties, are responsible for the daily supervision and instruction of a small group of children with a similar ski or snowboard ability. Children never ski alone and are supervised from leaving the hotel/chalet in the morning to their safe return home at the end of the day.

Healthcare counsellors will not be assigned to a group of children, but are expected to participate in all aspects of the programme, including the ski and snowboard supervision, evening activities and supervisory duties. Successful applicants will have at least intermediate ability in either skiing or snowboarding and will be confident to ski or snowboard in all conditions on all pistes.
