The refugee children there need this remedial education in order to pass entry tests for the Lebanese public education system. Without access to public education, they risk missing out on an education permanently, and becoming a “lost generation”.

The women in our centres, meanwhile, find themselves in vulnerable situations, and have asked our team to provide them with English lessons in order to give them a new practical skill, and to empower them with the confidence that comes with learning a second language.

The programme will run from January, and we are looking for volunteers to join us for placements of 2 months or more. Volunteers may apply for one of two branches of the programme:

  • Branch A: full-time volunteering
  • Branch B: volunteering and Arabic language course
