The peaceful peninsula of Istria was historically part of the Venetian Empire. It is a land of diverse scenery with rolling hills, pine forests, wheat fields, vineyards, olive groves and of course a sparkling azure sea lapping the coastline.

Our challenging route makes the most of this lush region as we cover long distances each day, navigating hills with dramatic landscapes and breathtaking views.

Cycling along the coast itself we hop across to the beautiful islands of Cres, with its native rare birds and Krk, the closest island to Central Europe.
