Cost

Universities in Sweden are free for citizens of the EU/EEA and Switzerland. Students from outside of the EU/EEA are charged for studying at Swedish universities but the fees are low compared to other European destinations. Universities are allowed to set their own fees, which mostly vary between SEK 80,000 and 140,000 (£6,000 - £10,000 / US$10,000 - $15,000) per academic year.

 

Scholarships

Sweden has a high cost of living but there are plenty of ways to keep costs down and if you are applying from overseas then there are some scholarships available to apply for. The American-Scandinavian Foundation offers scholarships for anyone from the United States seeking to study in Scandinavian countries.
