Elephant Volunteer Projects in Africa

Volunteer with elephants in Africa. African elephants are the largest living land animals on earth, and children all over the world are fascinated by these ‘gentle giants’. The elephants at the game reserve roam free in the veld surrounding the sanctuary, and are brought into the sanctuary whenever there are visitors present. The Game Reserve (located just outside Port Elizabeth) educates all its visitors (both volunteers and locals) on the decline in African elephant numbers due primarily to the destruction of their habitat and the poaching of elephant ivory tusks.
