Spring Travel Destinations
The spring season is just around the corner, and for many people, this means time to start looking into a travel destination for a quick spring getaway.
Some people are reluctant to travel during the springtime due to school, work, etc., but if you can manage it, it’s a great time to get away for a few days to a nice, warm location. In fact, you don’t even need to skip out on Mother’s Day, as you can simply have someone like Marks & Spencer send flowers to your mother from wherever you may be over the holiday. So put your schedule aside, and consider the following noteworthy travel destinations for spring 2012!
• Caribbean Islands – Which specific island you pick is up to you, but if you are looking for a nice, exotic location at which to welcome in the warm weather seasons, you can’t do a whole lot better than the Caribbean. In many people’s eyes, there are reasons to visit the Caribbean year-round, but again, if you are looking for a spring getaway, this is about the most beautiful, warm and pleasant spot you could ask for.
• Cape Town – If you’re looking for something a bit different, Cape Town, South Africa is in the height of its gorgeous autumn season when spring breaks elsewhere, and this is a great time to visit the unique seaside city. Cape Town is known for its beauty and pleasant weather, so even though it isn’t uniquely “spring,” it is well worth a visit as soon as you get a chance to break away.
• Amsterdam – Believe it or not, this city famed for its night time party scene is also known for its spring flowers and pleasant atmosphere. If you’re looking for a European travel destination, Amsterdam is about as good as it gets. You can see the famed tulips of Netherlands in their full springtime brilliance, and also get a shot to roam the streets of Amsterdam and take in its well-known party scene.
Obviously, the three locations mentioned above are spread all over the world, and some of them may be ambitious as short vacation destinations. However, if you are looking for places known for their spring attractions, these are good ones to consider. Regardless, if you can manage a short vacation early in the spring season, even if it just means driving to the nearest beach for a few days, it’s always a nice way to kick off the warm months of the year. Not to mention, it can be a great getaway after a cold winter season!
