India Healthcare Volunteer Projects

If you are a qualified or part-qualified Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Nurse, you can use your skills and experience to volunteer at India orphanage's healthcare programmes. Each child has a health check when they are taken in by the orphanage and many suffer from medical conditions such as malnutrition. In some cases disabled children have been abandoned because their family simply cannot afford to support them. Following these health checks, a programme of treatment is created for each child and gap year volunteers can help to deliver these under supervision from orphanage staff.
