Support Gorilla Conservation Projects in the DR Congo

‘Gearing up for Gorillas’ (g4g) is a charity which works to conserve the critically endangered mountain gorilla in Virunga National Park, DR Congo by providing funds and equipment to the rangers whose job it is to protect them...

One of their latest initiatives is to help fund two pedal-powered cinemas to be taken to the region to enable a variety of conservation films to be shown to schools and communities raising awareness of conservation needs and the potential the area’s unique wildlife holds for the future. The charity is holding an auction on Tuesday, 8th November at The Museum Inn in Farnham, Dorset to raise funds to employ two Congolese environmental education staff to take the cinema around remote schools and communities. Tickets for this worthwhile event are available on the charities website.

Tour company Oasis Overland love the work being done by 'Gearing Up For Gorillas' and if you are interested in visiting the mountain gorillas have a look at Oasis Overland's 19-day Gorillas and Gameparks trip, visiting the mountain gorillas in Rwanda / Uganda.
