The Republic of Kenya is a country in Eastern Africa bordered by Ethiopia to the north, Somalia to the north-east, Tanzania to the south, Uganda to the west & Sudan to the north-west with the Indian Ocena running along the south-west border.

Kenya is a beautiful country rich with natural resources, home of the Masai Mara game reserve famous for its lionos & spectacular wildlife. The magestic Mount Kenya located in central Kenya, just south of the equator is the second highest mountain in Africa standing at 5,199 metres.

Kenya is a diverse country with many different cultures and customs from the Swahili on the coast to the Masaai with their beautiful beads.

- Life expectancy at birth is 56 years
- As of 2007 the estimated numbner of people living with HIV/Aids in Kenya is approx 2.5million
- The estimated number of orphaned children below 15 years is over 2 million
- 30% of Kenyan children suffer from stunted growth through malnutrition & over 70% have no access to adequate drinking water
